With this free blog I would like to reflect on the student involvement fair which took place yesterday on campus. I think Wittenberg did an amazing job of setting up the event and making it very friendly to all students. I think it is very important for all students to see how active this campus can be even if it is so small. Wittenberg decked out the event with great music from the WUSO radio station a great spread of food, and plenty of clubs that interested the minds of young learners. I would like to also give credit to the students that created these clubs, who did an amazing job of advertising their love for learning outside the classroom. I just can't get enough of people taking their passion and sharing it with others. It really is something that inspires me and I hope I can inspire others through clubs and organizations I am involved in. I am the Vice President of the film society on campus, and the involvement fair got me very excited about the possibilities we have for becoming a real presence on campus. I think the university really did a great job of promoting student interaction and a wonderful family environment.
Time to Tiger up! With a new semester beginning it brings me so much joy to see all these new freshman start to warm up to Wittenberg. It makes me happy to look around see so many lives that are about to be forever changed. Most kids dream about the opportunity to attend a great college all throughout high school, and now that the time has come for them, I hope they can seize the moment. Before they know it they will be streaking the hollow, playing frolf, and cheering on friends on the field. What is so incredible about seeing these new students is the fact that they have no idea how much Wittenberg will impact them. They have know idea that the next four years will take them on a ride of a lifetime and challenge them far beyond anything they ever thought possible. So go ahead new students, meet as many people as you can and learn that you are now not known as freshman, but as part of our family.
