Beer Pong with my Mom

The music is loud, the girls are dancing, and every guy is looking for the coldest beer in the box. There is something truly magical about a great college party, even when someone brings their own mother. Yea that is right, last Saturday night was the first night I brought my own mother out with me to a sorority party with my fraternity brothers. She attended Ohio university during her college days, so partying was nothing new to her. Immediately as usual I set my sights on the beer pong table. My mom agreed to play with me and our competitive family nature took over. Soon enough my mom and I were draining shots like it was game seven of the NBA finals. We won our first game by at least five cups and celebrated with some cold beer. It was an amazing feeling to beat other college kids with a mom that hasn't played beer pong in a very long time. I asked her what has changed about partying from when she was in college and what she witnessed Saturday night, she said " the music was a lot different, I also did not expect to see so many people in such a small house, and I loved the fact that everyone knew everyone else at the party, we did not have that at my school when I was growing up." My mom loved her experience at Wittenberg and I'm sure she can't wait to come back. So if you think your mom is as cool as mine, bring her down for parents weekend, and lets see who can party!

  1. Cute and clever story! People don't usually associate their parents with "college party fun," but this was such an original idea, and it's wonderful to see you have such a great relationship with your mother!
