Expanded Pre-K Schools in New York; A Student's First Step

This morning will prove to be a test for many New York city mothers and fathers as their students begin the first day of school. Mom has packed the lunch, cut off the crust, and pressed her son's lucky shirt. Dad has gassed up the car and set the alarm to start off the year right. But what if you were a parent dropping your kid off to an entirely recently expanded school system in one of the five boroughs of the big apple? Mayor Bill de Blasio has decided that a city is only as good as its foundation, and his plan has already opened up new childhood learning opportunity's for more than 51,000 kids between the ages of 4 and 6. New York's population is what has always posed the challenge for education plans in New York city. Naturally the more student packed into one class causes an influx of attention toward each individual student's learning needs and curiosities. Although the success rate of these schools is yet to be seen, I am aboard the mayor's ship to start bettering education from the ground up. Your mind is like a sponge when you are young, it just wants to absorb every little thing. The more we can teach these kids at a younger age, the opportunity's they will have in the future. These schools will also have an amazing affect on the adults in the city, who do not have to count on family relatives to care for their kids while they are at work anymore. So strap on your book bags and put on your thinking caps, because New York city has a young bright future on the horizon!
